The Mehrdarou project serves as a model for the future development of other buildings on the campus of a pharmaceutical company with a 70-year legacy.
Demolishing the old warehouse would have resulted in a reduction of available floor area for the new structure. As a result, the design team opted to preserve the existing shed, modifying its form instead. Through the use of materials consistent with the surrounding buildings, the project maintains fidelity to the site’s established atmosphere.
The new structure grows out of the existing one, aiming to enhance its functionality while symbolizing the evolution of the brand. This layered approach conveys the idea of a brand shedding its old skin, suggesting transformation while respecting continuity.
